Your Mind Has To Be Renewed

The righteousness of God is given as a free gift to those who are in Christ, who have the nature of God. If you’re not born again, you don’t have the righteousness of God in your life.

So the first thing you need to do is to get born-again; get saved. And if you’re born-again, you have to understand that the righteousness that you now have is not that of the Pharisees, or that of man, but it is the righteousness that is the very nature of God. This is a gift to you from God.

You have received it in your spirit. The righteousness of God is now a spiritual reality in your life. You are His righteousness in your spirit, but now you need to also become practically righteous in your mind, as well as in your body.

Understand: When you got born-again, what got born again was your spirit, not your soul, not your mind. This is why the bible tells you to become transformed by the renewing of your mind.

“Therefore, I urge you, brothers, in view of God’s mercy, to offer your bodies as living sacrifices, holy and pleasing to God – this is your spiritual act of worship. Do not conform any longer to the pattern of this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind. Then you will be able to test and approve what God’s will is – His good, pleasing and perfect will.”
~Romans 12:1-2

Your mind has to be renewed; your body has to be presented to God. When the bible says you are righteous, it’s not talking about your mind, it’s not talking about your body, it’s talking about your spirit – that is where this righteousness has taken place.

Memory Verse:
Romans 12:1-2
“Therefore, I urge you, brothers, in view of God’s mercy, to offer your bodies as living sacrifices, holy and pleasing to God – this is your spiritual act of worship. Do not conform any longer to the pattern of this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind. Then you will be able to test and approve what God’s will is – His good, pleasing and perfect will.”

Prayer:
Father, thank you for Your gift of righteousness in my spirit. Enable me Father, to present my body as a living sacrifice to You, and be transformed by the renewing of my mind, in Jesus’ name.
Amen.
