Your help is in the name of the Lord; it’s not from anyone but from God.
As Jesus was triumphantly entering the city of Jerusalem, a massive crowd of His disciples began to joyfully praise God in loud voices for all the miracles they had seen. Out of jealousy, some of the Pharisees in the crowd asked Jesus to rebuke the crowd.
“I tell you,” Jesus replied to them, “if they keep quiet, the stones will cry out.”
~ Luke 19:37-40
I really love Jesus’ response, and have been inspired by it through the years. Jesus knew that His blessings came from God; not even from those disciples that were singing His praises. I’ve come to that point in my own personal life where I deeply understand that my blessings are not dependent on anybody. It doesn’t depend on who I know, what I do or don’t do. It depends absolutely on the Lord.
This is why I don’t care about anyone’s opinion of me. I have no need to be in anybody’s good books. No, that’s not necessary for me. I understand that I am blessed already by the Lord.
I hope you’ve come to that point too; if not, please do. It doesn’t matter at all whether or not people like you; trust me, it doesn’t matter at all. When you understand that your help comes from the Lord, and you trust in Him to help you in His way and His time, then your blessings will flow forth from the Spirit. And when they do, they are indestructible. When they do, no one will be able to take them from you; or stop them from coming.
The magicians said, ‘this is the finger of God’. I see this happening in your life. It will be the finger of God all the way. That way you’ll be free from having to dance to the tune of any man; free to serve only your God.
