Colossians 1:17 | NIV “He is before all things, and in Him all things hold together.”

A while ago in church circles, there was always this rampant prophetic declaration telling people, ‘You will get there!’ As expected, a deafening ‘amen!’ always ensued. The ‘there’ of course spoke of people’s desired reality. Of fulfillment and bliss.

As I reflected on that lately, the Holy Spirit reminded me that ‘our there’ is ‘in Him.’ That He is the beginning and the end of all things. In Him all things, including our desires and our dreams, hold together. In Him all the fullness that we seek lie. In Him we live and move and have our being. We can’t get away from Him, nor get ahead without Him.

So, the Lord says we will get there, if we embrace Him as ‘our there.’ In other words, we will enjoy bliss and fulfillment, if we surrender our ambitions to that of the Holy Spirit. Receive the grace!
