You Can Live a Sin-Free Life

Jesus died on the Cross of Calvary for mankind’s salvation and redemption from sin. Through His atoning work on the Cross, resurrection, and ascension to glory, new realities were ushered in for those who believe in Him.

“From the fullness of His grace we have all received one blessing after another.”
~John 1:16

These wonderful blessings have altered your expectations and experiences as a Christian. For example, you expect to enjoy divine health because of Jesus’ death on the Cross.

“He himself bore our sins in His body on the tree, so that we might die to sins and live for righteousness; by His wounds you have been healed
~1 Peter 2:24

You wouldn’t want that healing to be spiritual only, you also want it to manifest physically in your body. A lot of Christians today actually walk in divine health physically in their bodies.

“For you know the grace of our Lord Jesus Christ, that though he was rich, yet for your sakes He became poor, so that you through His poverty might become rich.
~2 Corinthians 8:9

His atoning sacrifice also brought transformation to your finances and divine provisions. You will not want that richness to be a strictly spiritual phenomenon; you will want to enjoy it physically. You expect to enjoy God’s riches at Christ’s expense.

It is in the same way that you have received the gift of righteousness. Should your righteousness now remain in the spiritual realm only?

“…how much more will those who receive God’s abundant provision of grace and of the gift of righteousness reign in life through the one man, Jesus Christ.”
~Romans 5: 17

The point being made here is this: It is not okay to not be righteous in our physical lives. Regrettably, some folks think that it doesn’t matter.  It does matter. We must receive the same spirit in our natural lives and then live in practical righteousness.

“No one who is born of God will continue to sin, because God’s seed remains in him; he cannot go on sinning, because he has been born of God.”
~1 John 3:9

You should walk in practical visible sinlessness. That is your heritage in Christ Jesus. And you can, if you are committed to prayer every day of your life.  You can and should live a sinless life.
Praise God.

Memory Verse:

1 John 3:9
“No one who is born of God will continue to sin, because God’s seed remains in him; he cannot go on sinning, because he has been born of God.”

Prayer:
Heavenly Father, thank you for the gift of righteousness that I have received in Christ Jesus. Please help me by your indwelling Spirit to live a life of visible righteousness and holiness, in Jesus’ name.
Amen.
