Your circumstances could be the lump of clay filled with imperfections that you have to build with. It could be the state of your finances, your career, or your ministry. Ignore the imperfection and take your lump of clay with joy, with gratitude, and with thanksgiving to God. Breathe life into it. Speak God’s word to it. Apply wisdom in your choices and decisions regarding it. And you will alter your realities.
For an example, you may desire to have two thousand people in your ministry. But what you have are three members – that’s your lump of clay. These three might not be serious. They might not be all the stuff you want, but they are there. You are a ‘god’. You are a builder. So take your lump of clay and breathe into them. Declare words of life over them. Apply wisdom, walk in faith and transform your situation.
“The Lord God formed the man from the dust of the ground and breathed into his nostrils the breath of life, and the man became a living being.”
~Genesis 2:7
“And so it is written, The first man Adam was made a living soul”; the last Adam was made a quickening spirit.”
~1 Corinthians 15:45(KJV)
“I said, ‘You are ‘gods’; you are all sons of the Most High.”
~Psalm 82:6
Whatever you’ve been given by God is enough for what you want. Even if you have only one person in your ministry, business, or venture, it’s enough. Just go to work with your lump of clay. Whatever you have is enough with the grace of God, genuine acceptance and thanksgiving. By the Spirit of God, and by the operation of wisdom and faith, you will turn your lump of clay into skin. Then you will take that skin and turn it into a soul. From that soul, you will get a spirit and a god. Despite the imperfections that plague what you have, you can actually get a god out of a lump of clay!
