MATTHEW‬ ‭2:12‬ ‭NLT‬‬ | “WHEN IT WAS TIME TO LEAVE, THEY RETURNED TO THEIR OWN COUNTRY BY ANOTHER ROUTE, FOR GOD HAD WARNED THEM IN A DREAM NOT TO RETURN TO HEROD.”‬‬

As is always the case, the enemy whose job is roaring like a lion looking for who to devour was working over time to kill Jesus just after He was born. However, the Spirit is always ahead, so She warned the wise men to take another route, saving Jesus life.

Jesus when He came of age was exceptionally skilled at dodging the arrows of the Pharisees, Sadducees and teachers of religious law. (Mark 12:15 NIV) King David was skilled at dodging the arrows of King Saul after Saul became threatened by David. (1 Kings 18:10 NIV) The Kings of Israel outwitted the enemy kingdoms, dodging their arrows and conquering them due to the power of divine revelation from God’s prophets at the time. (2 Kings 6:12 NIV)
