John 4:23 NIV | “Yet a time is coming and has now come when the true worshipers will worship the Father in the Spirit and in truth, for they are the kind of worshipers the Father seeks.”
From this scripture, we see that there can either be true worshippers or false worshippers. The Lord taught me that true worship is response to Him based on a revelation of His will. ‘Worship in spirit and in truth’. In other words, our worship of God must be based on what and how He leads us. It cannot be regulated. It cannot be regimented. It cannot be organised. So, if there’s no revelation, there can, and should be no worship.
Only true worshippers please the Father. People who are loyal, submitted, and led by His will. He considers them His sons, and so is attracted to them. That’s why He seeks them, and yet hides Himself from the rest of the world that seek Him for their selfish desires. Father, free us from every contrary will. May Your will reign in our lives.
