Jesus said, “My Father is always at his work to this very day, and I, too, am working”
~ John 5:17.
Jesus was talking to the people just after He had healed a man who had been bound for 38 years at the pool of Bethesda, when He said, “My Father is always at His work to this very day and I too I’m working”. Jesus said, “My Father is always at His work to this very day and I too I’m working”.
God is always at His work. Expressed otherwise, it is in the nature of God to work; it is in God’s design to work. Working is an essential attribute of God – you can even call it a feature of God; He is always – not sometimes, but always – at His work. And Jesus says, ‘I too, I’m working’.
Here’s an important lesson from Jesus: He derived His message, as well as His lifestyle, from the Father. He not only said “I am from the Father,” He also said, “Whatever I see my Father do is what I do.” Work is from God.
God is always at His work. Jesus is always at His work. And If you are not always at your work, you are not being like the Father; you are not being like God.
