Romans 8:6 NIV | “The mind governed by the flesh is death, but the mind governed by the Spirit is life and peace.”

What kind of life do you want to live? How far and deep do you want to go with God? There are levels and degress in God reserved for a few. It’s a realm for those whose impulses and guidance come from the Holy Spirit. It’s for those who the Holy Spirit is their boss.

Your boss determines your experiences. A life bossed the flesh is death – alienation from the Spirit. But a life bossed by Spirit is life and peace. Some argue that God is our Father, and therefore cannot be our boss. But God is everything to us. His fatherhood is just foundational. He is boss to as many that surrender to His will. Jesus models this, so, doesn’t seek His own will, but the will of the Father’. (John 5:30)

A life patterned after Jesus cannot have goals. Sadly, the world, and even today’s church, teach us to follow our dreams and pursue our purpose. But there’s only one dream. There’s only one purpose. To be like Christ. (Romans 8:29) Receive grace to be focused on just that!
