JOHN‬ ‭1:22‬ ‭NLT‬‬ | ““THEN WHO ARE YOU? WE NEED AN ANSWER FOR THOSE WHO SENT US. WHAT DO YOU HAVE TO SAY ABOUT YOURSELF?””‭‭

Have you ever wondered why you were born or why God brought you into this world? I have. So many times more than I can count.

It’s an important question because the moment you know the answer, you truly start living.

To get this answer though, you need to meet Jesus and encounter Precious Holy Spirit because He knows the heart of the Father and will reveal the plan of God for your life.

Let’s look at a few examples in scriptures.

Apostle Paul first met Jesus as the inapproachable light which blinded him on his way to Damascus enroute to persecute the followers of Jesus.

ACTS OF THE APOSTLES 9:3-6 NLT | “AS HE WAS APPROACHING DAMASCUS ON THIS MISSION, A LIGHT FROM HEAVEN SUDDENLY SHONE DOWN AROUND HIM. HE FELL TO THE GROUND AND HEARD A VOICE SAYING TO HIM, “SAUL! SAUL! WHY ARE YOU PERSECUTING ME?” “WHO ARE YOU, LORD?” SAUL ASKED. AND THE VOICE REPLIED, “I AM JESUS, THE ONE YOU ARE PERSECUTING! NOW GET UP AND GO INTO THE CITY, AND YOU WILL BE TOLD WHAT YOU MUST DO.””

After this, he went on to receive his life mission and assignment and became the light to the gentiles. The moment he encountered Jesus, his God-given destiny – the reason why he was born – began.

Moses life also followed a similar pattern.

EXODUS 3:2-4 NLT | “THERE THE ANGEL OF THE LORD APPEARED TO HIM IN A BLAZING FIRE FROM THE MIDDLE OF A BUSH. MOSES STARED IN AMAZEMENT. THOUGH THE BUSH WAS ENGULFED IN FLAMES, IT DIDN’T BURN UP. THIS IS AMAZING,” MOSES SAID TO HIMSELF. “WHY ISN’T THAT BUSH BURNING UP? I MUST GO SEE IT.” WHEN THE LORD SAW MOSES COMING TO TAKE A CLOSER LOOK, GOD CALLED TO HIM FROM THE MIDDLE OF THE BUSH, “MOSES! MOSES!” “HERE I AM!” MOSES REPLIED.”

The rest is history because the Lord gave Moses his life mission – the very reason for which he came into this world – to deliver Israel from slavery in Egypt. It was this dimension of God he would manifest – a deliverer to God’s people, Israel.

EXODUS 3:10 NLT | “NOW GO, FOR I AM SENDING YOU TO PHARAOH. YOU MUST LEAD MY PEOPLE ISRAEL OUT OF EGYPT.””

And, as this transpired, the Lord revealed Himself to Moses as ‘I AM.’

EXODUS 3:14 NLT | “GOD REPLIED TO MOSES, “ I AM WHO I AM. SAY THIS TO THE PEOPLE OF ISRAEL: I AM HAS SENT ME TO YOU.””

Who are you? The answer to this question is the dimension of God He reveals to you. It’s the expression of His divinity which He desires for you to manifest here on earth. It’s also from this revelation of God to you, that you discover who you are in Him.

Bringing it home. I was on my way to the clinic when the Lord said to me. I’ve shown you consistently in many mind-boggling ways that I’m Jehovah Jireh, your provider. You’ve tasted and seen my healing power and can testify that I’m Jehovah Rophe, your healer. I’ve displayed my all round sufficiency in your life as El Shaddai, your all-sufficient God. You’ve experienced my sovereignty and right to command and can attest that I’m Adonai. However, I want you to know me as your greatest lover of all time. Because no one can ever love you like I do. You are mine and I am yours.

This personal revelation has shaped my walk with and work for God because I know God as my greatest lover of all time. He is all that matters to me. I feed on knowing His thoughts and hearing His heartbeat. He has a ‘YES’ from me at all times.
