Whatever You Say Will Be Used Against You

In this post, I will be talking about something that requires your utmost attention. The reason is this, if you can grasp this teaching, the rate of your personal growth will escalate; you will achieve tremendous personal success. The ramifications of today’s teaching are awesome.

I want to talk to you about what you say. I want to talk about the power of your tongue; the power in your mouth.

As you know, usually when they go to arrest someone that has committed a crime, the law authorities read the Miranda Rights and Warning to the person: “You have every right to remain silent, whatever you say can and will be used against you in a court of law…”

Now that’s something you should pay attention to.

I was surprised to encounter this same kind of phrase in the Bible.

“So tell them, ‘As surely as I live, declares the Lord, I will do to you the very things I heard you say.”
~ Numbers 14:28

You had better watch what you’re saying because God is listening. Don’t just open your mouth carelessly and say anything that comes to your mind.

God’s word contains the new realities that are now yours in Christ Jesus and they should form the declarations you make about yourself. What you say should be a function of what God has already spoken concerning you in the new creation.

These amazing realities ushered in through Jesus’ death, resurrection and ascension to glory, manifest in your life through what you say. Because whatever you say will be used against or for you.

You have to decide whether to come in agreement with God’s word concerning your new self in Christ or whether you choose to continue in the realities of the old self already abolished by Jesus through His atoning work at Calvary.

The choice is strictly yours!
