What God Has Prepared For Those Who Love Him

Hello Blissfuls! 💕

Hope is very important. Extremely important. We must never give up hope. Never.

But, what is our hope, really?
What are we looking forward to?

As God’s Blissfuls in Christ, it is needful to understand what our true hope really is. To know that our hope is different from that of the rest of the world. Our hope goes beyond this present life and reaches forth into eternity.

You may hope to get married and have your own children someday. Your hope may be to, someday, become debt-free and financially independent. Right now, you may be hoping that down the line you will have a successful career and become a powerful and influential person. And I could go on and on and on.

Those are the hopes of many. And there’s nothing wrong with having such hopes. However, if all your hopes and aspirations are about life in this present world, you’re living a very miserable and pathetic life.

Here’s how the Holy Spirit puts it in the scriptures:

1 Corinthians 15:19 KJV
If in this life only we have hope in Christ, we are of all men most miserable.

Please reflect on that. Because, in this season, the Holy Spirit is calling us to look beyond this present life and reach forth into the age that is to come. To reach forth into the Spirit, into to eternity, and lay hold of hope that is truly hope.

In the light of this call, I urge you today not to become so occupied with worldly affairs that you lose sight of your eternal hope and forfeit your place in God’s eternal kingdom and glory. That would be tragic.

So, what is our hope?

Romans 8:23-25 NLT
[23] And we believers also groan, even though we have the Holy Spirit within us as a foretaste of future glory, for we long for our bodies to be released from sin and suffering. We, too, wait with eager hope for the day when God will give us our full rights as his adopted children, including the new bodies he has promised us. [24] We were given this hope when we were saved. (If we already have something, we don’t need to hope for it. [25] But if we look forward to something we don’t yet have, we must wait patiently and confidently.)

As you can see, our hope should go beyond owning the latest car; beyond getting married; beyond living comfortably in this world. Instead, it should reach forth into eternity.

One day, our bodies will be released from sin and suffering. That day is coming when God will give us our full rights as His adopted children, including the new bodies He has promised us—bodies that look exactly like the one Jesus Christ has today. These are aspects of the hope we were given when we were saved.

And there’s more! There’s so much more! But you can’t see them when your eyes are blinded by worldly hopes and aspirations; by earthly dreams and ambition. The Holy Spirit will only show them to you when you fix your heart on things above.

1 Corinthians 2:9-10 NLT
[9] That is what the Scriptures mean when they say, “No eye has seen, no ear has heard, and no mind has imagined what God has prepared for those who love him.” [10] But it was to us that God revealed these things by his Spirit. For his Spirit searches out everything and shows us God’s deep secrets.

Our hope—what God has prepared for us in eternity—is beyond the grasp of human imagination and intellect. Yet, you can know it by the Spirit. The Spirit can reveal it to you. And when you see it, believe me, earthly things will become garbage to you!

And so today, I join Paul in this prayer for all Blissfuls.

Ephesians 1:18 NIV
I pray that the eyes of your heart may be enlightened in order that you may know the hope to which he has called you, the riches of his glorious inheritance in his holy people,
