Genesis 2:19 | ISV “After the Lord God formed from the ground every wild animal and every bird that flies, He brought each of them to the man to see what he would call it. Whatever the man called each living creature became its name.”
Adam walked in such authority and dominion that whatever he called the creatures, was what they became. The highest heavens belong to God; the earth He has indeed given to the sons of men. The essence of the cross is the restoration of a life of victory, dominion, and oneness with God.
The challenges of life are said to be first won or lost in the mind. Israel of old saw themselves as grasshoppers in the eyes of their enemies. And that was what they became. They could not take possession of their promised land. Only the two men who saw differently entered Canaan.
What perspective do you have of your life? How do you define that situation? What do you call it? God said ‘I will do what I hear you say.’ Receive the grace to see through God’s eyes, and speak His mind. That way, victory and dominion is sure.
