Hello Blissful People!
I’m experiencing more and more abundance in my life. But it’s not by accumulating more. Actually, it’s by needing less.
Abundance is a very relative term. It means having more than you need. It’s not just a matter of how much you have, but also of how much you need to live. A person with, say, a hundred dollars, could be experiencing greater abundance than a person with, say, a million dollars.
Here’s how: Let’s say the individual with a hundred dollars needs just twenty dollars to live, whereas the individual with a million dollars needs ten million dollars to live. Then the individual with a hundred dollars has more than enough, and is experiencing abundance, whereas the individual with a million dollars has less than enough and is experiencing insufficiency.
Abundance, therefore, is not just a matter of how much you have, but also of how much you need to live.
So you can attain it by trying to get more. Or by shrinking what counts as needs in your life.
I opted for the second path: To shrink what counts as necessities in my life. This is happening through a life of radical contentment and godly focus.
Here’s what I mean:
Instead of trying to get more and more, I try to find ways to do without most things that people falsely think are necessary.
For instance, I could never live without oxygen, food, water, and their likes. Those are real necessities of life.
But I can definitely live without a smart tv, an air conditioned car, electricity, and so on. Those are, well, illusory and artificial necessities.
I’m sure you get my point,
By shrinking the stuff that count as needs in my life, by discovering creative ways to live without most of the illusory ‘necessities’ of life, I’m actually experiencing more and more abundance in my life,
Now, I literally have more than I need, because I’m needing less and less and less. And because I’m needing less and less and less to live, I’m able to be a blessing to more and more and more people. 😊
What a blissful way of life!
Truly, godliness with contentment is the greatest gain!
