“Do not offer the parts of your body to sin, as instruments of wickedness, but rather offer yourselves to God, as those who have been brought from death to life; and offer the parts of your body to him as instruments of righteousness.”
~Romans 6: 13
Offer your hands and lips to God as instruments of righteousness. Don’t use your hands to fight. How can you claim that you’re a Christian, if you regularly engage in fights with other people? This is common among some touts in the market, who often fight, swear, and curse, but on Sunday morning they still carry their Bibles to church.
Your hands should be used to lift holy hands to God, and lay hands on people. Use them to do good things like writing good things. When you use your hands to write silly letters that are not true, you’re a deceiver. When you send text messages that are not true, that don’t come from your heart, you are offering your hands to sin as instruments of unrighteousness.
Don’t say what you don’t mean. Any time you say anything you don’t mean, or make promises that you don’t keep, you’re lying. There’s a place that God has reserved for all liars – the lake of fire.
“But the cowardly, the unbelieving, the vile, the murderers, the sexually immoral, those who practice magic arts, the idolaters and all liars – their place will be in the fiery lake of burning sulfur. This is the second death.”
~Revelation 21:7
He prepared it especially for them, because he hates lies. It’s an abomination to Him, so don’t use your mouth to lie.
Don’t use your feet for evil. Don’t use it to enter a bar and drink. As a Christian, mind where you go, it’s not everywhere that you should go.
So check the different parts of your body, and ask yourself, have I dedicated them to righteousness?
