“Do not offer the parts of your body to sin, as instruments of wickedness, but rather offer yourselves to God, as those who have been brought from death to life; and offer the parts of your body to him as instruments of righteousness.”
~Romans 6: 13
As God’s child, offer the parts of your body to God as instruments of righteousness. Don’t offer them to sin. Some folks actually have accidents on the road while driving just because they were momentarily distracted by a woman passing by. It’s silly. If you’re a young man with that habit, you’re delivered, in Jesus name! God has broken the yoke on you, in Jesus name. Those eyes belong to Jesus; use them to read the bible!
“He took him outside and said, ‘Look up at the heavens and count the stars – if indeed you can count them.’ Then He said to him, ‘So shall your offspring be.’”
~ Genesis 15: 5
God told Abraham to count the stars – symbolic of his future descendants – with his eyes!
David said:
“When I look at the night sky and consider the work of your fingers – the moon and the stars that you set in place…”
~Psalm 8:3(NLT)
David used his to consider the heavens and marvel at God’s creation. Offer your eyes as instruments of righteousness.
What about your ears? Some Christians’ ears are always itching to hear gossip. That is wrong. That’s why they can’t hear God. They pray and continue to pray, but how can God talk to them, when the only thing that tingle their ears is gossip and bad news? That’s why it said that bad news is news in journalism. If it’s good news, they’re not interested. If you have this habit, know you’re using your ears to listen to rubbish. So covenant your ears to listen only to good things. Let them be instruments of godly righteousness.
Memory Verse:
Genesis 15: 5
“He took him outside and said, ‘Look up at the heavens and count the stars – if indeed you can count them.’ Then He said to him, ‘So shall your offspring be.’”Prayer:
Heavenly Father, please enable me to use my eyes, ears, and other faculties to Your glory. May they be instruments of Your righteousness in Jesus’ name.
Amen.
