“Wherefore he is able also to save them to the uttermost that come unto God by him, seeing he ever liveth to make intercession for them.”
~Hebrews 7:25(KJV)
When you put your trust in Jesus Christ, He saves and delivers you. This is because God has relieved you of the responsibility of working out your destiny; and has made it His responsibility. Thus, contrary to public opinion, you are no longer the architect of your destiny; Jesus Christ now is.
This is why the Apostle Paul says:
“Rejoice in the Lord always. I will say it again: Rejoice!”
~Philippians 4:4
So, be strong today and trust in Jesus; not in yourself. Trust in Him, and walk in gratitude. Always thank Him daily that he holds and keeps you; because what counts is that He holds you.
When your weaknesses show up every now and then, as they often will, shift your focus away from them. When they show up in your flesh, don’t try to fight them. The moment they rear up their ugly heads, shift your attention from them and thank Jesus. When they spring up, don’t worry about them; don’t panic; don’t get jittery; just remove your eyes and say, “Lord I thank you that you are able to keep me from falling, and present me before your glorious presence without blemish, and without spot.”
Focus is a life-sustaining force. Whatever you feed your focus on flourishes! It’s time you ignored your flaws. They’re just a miserable bunch of attention-seekers. So, don’t give in to their tricks; they don’t deserve a second of your time. Your destiny doesn’t depend on them anymore. They’ve long lost their influence over your life. You have a greater destiny. Christ is your strength and He is working in your life.
Amen.
