Acts 10:41 NIV | “He was not seen by all the people, but by witnesses whom God had already chosen—by us who ate and drank with him after he rose from the dead.”

Jesus was not seen by everyone after God raised Him from the dead. Only a few people saw Him. True spirituality is for a few. God deliberately hides from people. He withholds Himself from the learned and the wise. (Mathew 11:25-26)

So, in the walking with the Spirit, intelligence and wisdom is not an advantage. Materialism is a weight you can’t afford. The rich young ruler can attest. Nothing of the flesh counts. Childlikeness and emptiness is key.

The road that leads to life is narrow. God Himself is that life. He who has Him has life. But the path to realising His fullness is rigorous. He’s like that hidden treasure; like precious gems that can’t be found on the surface of the earth. He’s in the extra miles. He has to be dug for, so that casual and unserious folks don’t stumble upon Him. Receive grace to go to a higher degree of your divinity!
