Jesus says that faithfulness in the use of earthly wealth enables one enjoy true riches. God cannot channel divinity through a person who has not proven good stewardship of the material blessings in his life.

In other words, the path to true riches – to the abundant manifestation of the Holy Spirit – is the path of brokenness, surrender, and honour to God. The Centurion got Jesus’ attention because he demonstrated honour for God.

How much of your resources, for instance, is cheerfully, wilfully, and consistently dedicated back to honouring the source God, even though everything comes from Him, and even though He’s said you are God as well? May we receive the wisdom to manage worldly wealth, that we may walk in the path to true riches.
