Maybe you understand the true meaning of success; maybe you don’t. If you do, good for you. And if you don’t, I hope you get it from this post.
16 As soon as Jesus was baptized, he went up out of the water. At that moment heaven was opened, and he saw the Spirit of God descending like a dove and lighting on him. 17 And a voice from heaven said, “This is my Son, whom I love; with him I am well pleased.”
~ Matthew 3
Note my emphasis: “with him I am well pleased.” That’s what God said concerning Jesus Christ; and that’s the true meaning of success.
What’s God saying at this moment concerning your lifestyle? Is God well pleased with you? Is God happy with your choices, your preferences, and your priorities?
Understand: success is not a matter of earthly accomplishments; it’s a matter of God’s approval and commendation.
I dare you today to throw people’s accolades into the thrash can; you know, all those awards you’ve received from man, all those ephemeral and worthless worldly encomiums.
Now, get back to God; get into His presence in brokenness and humility and let your true condition before Him be known. If you are in Christ, stop fooling around and messing with this world’s stuff.
The true meaning of success is that the Father commends you as pleasing in His sight. Any other thing you achieve apart from this is just another mound of dung.
