LUKE 1:38 NLT | “MARY RESPONDED, “I AM THE LORD’S SERVANT. MAY EVERYTHING YOU HAVE SAID ABOUT ME COME TRUE.” AND THEN THE ANGEL LEFT HER.”
On the other hand, we see a young servant of the Lord, chosen to carry out arguably one of the most important assignments ever in this time and space – birthing the Messiah – receive the glad tidings of the Angel and respond affirmatively.
Mary was so seasoned in the Word that by age 12, Jesus was dazzling the teachers of religious law in the temple and famously said, “He must be about His Fathers business.” (Luke 2:41-52 NIV) There was a faith building and faith transferring atmosphere in Mary’s life and home that made the budding of Jesus possible.
And, this was essentially the outcome. “Later, knowing that everything had now been finished, and so that Scripture would be fulfilled, Jesus said, “I am thirsty.”” (John 19:28 NIV) He bowed out of this time and space in perfect alignment to God’s Will. Let’s all receive grace to transfer faith to our generations, not fear and doubt. Bliss be with you.
