Colossians 1:16 | “For by him all things were created: things in heaven and on earth, visible and invisible, whether thrones or powers or rulers or authorities; all things were created by him and for him. He is before all things, and in him all things hold together.“
Everything comes from God. Everything is God. Jesus tell us that the pure in heart will see God. (Matthew 5:8) Are you able to see God in everything? For example, God says that he will give you the riches of the Gentiles. (Isaiah 61:6). “Gentiles” are people the “Jews” are not supposed to eat with. So how will the riches of the Gentiles come to you when you see it as unholy, sinful, and you can’t see God in it?
It is very dangerous to close your mind to possibilities, like Apostle Peter did in Acts 10. Peter couldn’t see God in eating “unclean” animals. He couldn’t appreciate the fact that both the “clean” animals and the “unclean” animals came from the same God. Therefore, he couldn’t do much in the ministry to the Gentiles. Apostle Paul had to take over.
Whatever you don’t understand, don’t criticize. Don’t lose your blessings by labelling things bad. What you label as bad cannot be a blessing to you. But if you are able to see God in that same thing, it will become a blessing to you. Your thoughts matter. To the pure, all things are pure.
