This Is Your Mission

So far, I’ve shown you from the scriptures that you are an offspring of divinity, meaning an expression of divinity. I’ve also pointed out the mystery that divinity has infinite varieties.

Now, if divinity has infinite varieties, and no single unit of creation can manifest all of these unique identities in time and space, and if you are a unit expression of divinity, it means that you are a unique variety of God.

You are one of the visible, and tangible, expressions of the infinite varieties of divinity. Pointedly, there is a variety of divinity that you are uniquely designed to manifest and express in time, space, and eternity.

That expression is your mission.

Here some inspiring illustrations of this truth:

“God also said to Moses, I am the Lord, I appeared to Abraham, to Isaac, and to Jacob as God almighty, but by my name the Lord, I did not make myself known to them”.
~ Exodus 6:2-3

God appeared as ‘God Almighty’.  God Almighty means the inexhaustible Source. As a result of this vision of God, Abraham manifested fatherhood. You can practically say that Abraham is the father of nearly everybody on this planet – well, at least more people regard him as father than any other person that’s ever lived. Look at the religions of the world, for instance: Over 1.5 billion Christians claim Abraham as Father. Over 1.2 billion Moslems insist that Abraham is their father. Millions of Jews and Jewish proselytes also claim Abraham as father. Now, look at the nations of the world that he fathered; they dominate the world scene. Just think about that, and you know why? He expressed the aspect of God as Almighty.

To Moses, God revealed Himself as ‘the LORD’. The LORD means the One that rules; the One that governs. Consequently, Moses’ life manifested this aspect of God on earth.  Because Moses saw Him as the LORD, he manifested the Law.

For me, the most striking illustration is the revelation of God that Apostle Paul had. God revealed Himself to Paul as a blinding light on the road to Damascus. As a result of his vision of God as ‘the Light that no man can approach’, Paul’s light has dominated the consciousness of humanity for the better part of the past 2000 years; and continues to do so.

Think about Paul’s impact: Who gave us the light on love? Who gave us the light on faith? Who gave us the light on marriage? Who gave us the light on hope? Who gave us the light on the Gospel? Who gave us the light on leadership? Who gave us the light on church order? The truth is that his light, his letters, his ideas, his philosophies continue to dominate the consciousness of humanity today.

Now, what about you?

As I’ve already noted, like Abraham, Moses, and Paul, you are one of the visible, and tangible, expressions of the infinite varieties of divinity. Pointedly, there is a variety of divinity that you are uniquely designed to manifest and express in time, space, and eternity.

That expression is your mission. That’s why you are here.
