This Is What You Are Missing

As a Christian, you have to shun worldliness. A key pillar of a successful walk with God is separateness. You are different from the world, so make sure you stay separate.

“‘Therefore come out from them and be separate, says the Lord. Touch no unclean thing and I will receive you.’ ‘I will be a Father to you, and you will be my sons and daughters, says the Lord Almighty.’”
~2 Corinthians 6:17-18

God commands you to be separate – preserve your godly distinction. Don’t allow worldliness to blur the line in your life. Someone once told me that the reason many Christians actually mingle with the world is because they feel that they’re missing out by being in the church. They feel that when they’re with God, they are missing out on the fun that is in the world.

Now, doesn’t it get ridiculous?  These are what you miss out on when you are separate from the world:

You are missing out on pre-marital pregnancy. You’re missing out on drunkenness. You’re missing out on cigarettes. You’re missing out on somebody breaking your head with a bottle in the middle of the night. You’re missing out on somebody lying, and cheating on you; that’s what you’re missing out on.

God says, “Come out! And be separate.”

“Thou wilt shew me the path of life: in thy presence is fullness of joy; at thy right hand there are pleasures for evermore.”
~Psalm 16:11(KJV)

For those in Christ, the bible says that in God’s presence, there is fullness of joy, and at His right hand there are pleasures forevermore. As God’s child, you have the honor of access to God’s glorious presence; don’t allow worldliness to ruin your life.

Memory Verse:
Psalm 16:11(KJV)
“Thou wilt shew me the path of life: in thy presence is fullness of joy; at thy right hand there are pleasures for evermore.”

Prayer:
Thank You Father that I have access to Your presence where I experience fullness of joy, and pleasures at Your right hand. Help me to shun worldliness every day of my life, in Jesus’ name.
Amen.
