Ecclesiastes 10:15 | ESV “The toil of a fool wearies him, for he does not know the way to the city!”

Everyone desires to make it in life. The good news for you today is that you don’t need to be gifted to make it. King Solomon wrote that ‘the way of a fool seems right to him, but a wise man listens to advice.’ In other words, pride is the essence of foolishness. Pride stops the fool from getting to his city – from making it, and living blissfully.

The Holy Spirit is our counselor that guides us into all the truth we need for a blissful living. It takes humility to come to Him in prayer. A prayerful person will enjoy His grace more than a talented person. So, the Holy Spirit, through prayer, is the way to ‘our city.’

Lord, teach us to be humble. Teach us to look up to You at all times, and in all circumstances.
