To build a strong and godly family, you must have regular and effective family devotions. The secret to a strong spiritual family is a powerful family altar. When a family comes together each morning to rejoice, sing and pray to God, to worship, to celebrate God, it is so amazing.
It is very difficult for the devil to defeat that family. I can tell you that by my own experience – from the family I came from, and from my current family. This is because you have set up a counter altar against whatever altars your ancestors set up. Your family will start growing stronger by the day. You find all those silly walls of hostility among family members going down. You find the love and peace of God permeating that home. Consequently, the members of that family will start to progress and achieve their own personal success.
“‘I tell you the truth, if anyone says to this mountain, ‘Go, throw yourself into the sea,’ and does not doubt in his heart but believes that what he says will happen, it will be done for him. Therefore I tell you, whatever you ask for in prayer, believe that you have received it, and it will be yours. And when you stand praying, if you hold anything against anyone, forgive him, so that your Father in heaven may forgive you your sins.’”
~Mark 11: 23-25
Jesus gave us three keys to dominion. He said, “Don’t doubt in your heart.” Then He said, “Believe.” But then again, He said, “If you have grudges against anybody, let it go.” So these are three things that can hinder your prayers: if you’re doubtful, if you don’t believe, and if you’re walking in grudges. During your daily devotion, teach your family these keys so that nothing will hinder your prayers. With the help of the Holy Spirit, you will all wax stronger and stronger in your Christian faith, in Jesus’ name.
Amen.
Memory Verse:
Mark 11: 23-25
“‘I tell you the truth, if anyone says to this mountain, ‘Go, throw yourself into the sea,’ and does not doubt in his heart but believes that what he says will happen, it will be done for him. Therefore I tell you, whatever you ask for in prayer, believe that you have received it, and it will be yours. And when you stand praying, if you hold anything against anyone, forgive him, so that your Father in heaven may forgive you your sins.’”Prayer:
Precious Holy Spirit, I commit my family into your hands. Help us O Lord to have a powerful family altar, and also to wax strong in our Christian faith, in Jesus’ name.
Amen.
