John 12:32 KJV | “And I, if I be lifted up from the earth, will draw all men unto me.

Just imagine this: You receive a prophecy that the Lord will lift you up. What images would fill your mind as a result? This is a major problem today in our walk with God: The wide gap between revelation and interpretation; between what God says and how we interpret it; between what is written and how we read it.

The next verse says that “Jesus said this to show the kind of death he was going to die.” The mind of Christ is so radically different and opposed to the carnal mind. Only a renewed mind can access it. To fellowship with Him, we must have the same framework of reference as Him. We must embrace His mind and language.

Holy Spirit, empower us to surrender afresh to you today. Deliver us from every conformity to the world. Renew our minds that we may know Your mind. Bliss be with you!
