The Law of Agreement

Have you ever heard of the Law of Agreement?
It is one of the most powerful laws governing personal success and achievement – a very powerful spiritual law and is also called the Law of the Unity of Faith.
This law states that, if two of you on earth agree about anything you ask for, it will be done for you by Almighty Creator of the universe!

Essentially, this law promises that you can get anything you want!
Sounds incredible and fantastical, right? Well, I would have thought so if it hadn’t been Jesus Christ Himself who revealed this law and taught about it. Besides, I have tested this law myself and have personally proven it to be true.

Here’s how the Law of Agreement works:

First of all, you’ve got to be absolutely certain about what you want.

History’s all time best selling book highlights the danger of a wavering attitude towards one’s desires.

“…for a doubtful mind will be as unsettled as a wave of the sea that is driven and tossed by the wind, and every decision you then make will be uncertain, as you turn first this way, and then that…don’t expect the Lord to give you any solid answer.” – St. James 1:7,8

You’ve got to be absolutely definite about what you want. The picture has to be clear in your mind; the desire has to be strong in your heart. Do not be vague about what you want, don’t be apologetic about your desires.

There’s no point wavering on this. A lot of people are double-minded and unstable when it comes to specifying what they want in life. Some actually feel guilty and condemned because of their desires. But the Law of Agreement does not tell you what to ask for, it simply promises to give you what you ask for.

It’s easy from this to understand the importance of setting clearly defined goals, and particularly writing them down. It helps to clarify your desires in your mind which is a pre-condition for the operations of the law of agreement.

So what do you want?

  • Peace with God?
  • A peaceful home?
  • A secure financial future?
  • Caring and loving children?
  • Good health?
  • Success in your career?
  • Happiness and peace of mind?
  • Long life?

What do you want? You’ve got to be absolutely certain about what you want before the Law of Agreement can work for you.

Secondly, get a soulmate

A soulmate is someone who shares your passion, interests, desires, values, and beliefs. Get someone else who shares your desires – a soulmate.
I believe that this is the least understood of the three basic pre-conditions for the operations of the law of agreement. This is because a lot of so-called practitioners of this law, particularly the religious ones, think that agreement is merely a matter of mental acquiescence or verbal assent. This is a very superficial and impotent view of the law of agreement.

At the heart of true agreement lies shared values, and beliefs.

I’ve often heard religious folks say, “let’s agree on this or that,” and then they begin to pray for whatever it is they think they’ve come into agreement on. Eventually, they wonder why the law didn’t work for them.

Well, you can’t just walk up to someone and say, “Let’s agree on so and so.” You’ve go to determine that both of you already possess shared values and beliefs in your individual hearts.
For someone to be considered a soulmate, he or she must already:

  • Want what you want, or at least be pre-disposed to wanting it , for himself, or herself, and for you.
  • Consider what you want to be positive and valuable to himself, or herself, and you.
  • Believes that a miraculous provision of what you want – now what both of you want – is possible.

Find a soulmate – someone with the above heart and mindset. Then unite both heart and mindsets in the insistence that you will get what you want. At this point, the pre-condition of agreement has occurred.

Thirdly, firmly state your demands in unified prayers

Make a demand on the omnipotence and infinite goodness of God.
This is not the wishy washy, whimpering religious gibberish that passes as ‘prayers’ today.
I’m rather referring to the resolute concentration of two unified souls putting their feet down on a clear cut result they want from the Almighty God.

When two individual minds come into perfect agreement in their desire for something, there’s not enough power in the universe – short of God Himself – to stop them. This is the essence of the law of agreement.

Master this law and let it serve you!

So, instead of whining and complaining in a self pity party pit, rise up now and get the law of agreement to work for you by following the simple and practical steps I outlined in this post:

  • Be absolutely certain about what you want.
  • Get a soulmate.
  • Firmly state your demands in unified prayers.

Have you ever experienced the veracity of the law of agreement?

THANKS Jenny for your comments… I’ve received a few e-mails since this post published, requesting that I throw more light on the concept of ‘Soulmate’. I believe that’s the heart of this law, two hearts already possessing identical ‘intentions’. But then there’s the element of TOGETHERNESS in praying that you seem to lean more towards… makes me think…really really think.

Hi WD,
This makes so much sense and THANK YOU for posting it. I have experienced firsthand how powerful one person’s intentions are… with my husband and I making a shared intention I can imagine it working so much faster because it is THAT much more powerful. Yes, we talk about what we want and both pray on it separately but TOGETHER is something that feels like it could move mountains. Thanks for this illuminating post! Gratefully, Jenny

Thank you for sharing this with me….I’m going to share it with others that are praying as well!

Well, Paul…I’m glad we’re having this discussion. We can get too caught up in questioning whether or not our desires are His desires to the point that it can paralyze us…and when we find that ‘soulmate’ type of person who has the same God-given desires our hearts connect in a powerful way that can change heaven and earth.
I was over at your site though. Nice work.

Not trying to pick a fight or anything, but that last part is just an opinion…
How do you back that up Biblically?

Thanks for your comment Paul. Just that the verse reads, “if two of you on earth…” I believe that places the emphasis on the 2 on I believe the Lord is secure enough and trusts that we’ll always desire what is in line with His will.

I totally get what you are saying but, what about coming into agreement with the Lord first? John 15 talks about Abiding in Jesus, as you do so, His wants and desires become yours… Then you ask what you will and it will be done.

Any other way of doing it is going to get wrapped up in fleshly wants and desires.

Have a great day!
