1 PETER 3:4 NLT | “YOU SHOULD CLOTHE YOURSELVES INSTEAD WITH THE BEAUTY THAT COMES FROM WITHIN, THE UNFADING BEAUTY OF A GENTLE AND QUIET SPIRIT, WHICH IS SO PRECIOUS TO GOD.”
There are some battles you only win being docile as a lamb. The fierce have no chance in this battlefield won via gentility and submission. Wisdom is thus needed to respond to each situation accordingly.
Mordecai asked Esther to fight for the Jews. She didn’t battle with knives and swords. Instead, she humbled herself in prayer and bowed before the King. When Peter cut off the ear of the Chief Priest’s servant in an attempt to fight off the Cross, Jesus fixed his ear and told Peter to put away the knives and swords. He understood that only a lamb could go to the Cross.
Are you able to beautify yourself with the sweet smelling fragrance borne out of the lambs humility? Many have got further by taking a bow instead of raising their voice. Receive the spirit of discernment and deep inner strength. Bliss be with you.
