The Kingdom Of God 1

Mark 1:14-15 NIV
[14] After John was put in prison, Jesus went into Galilee, proclaiming the good news of God. [15] “The time has come,” he said. “The kingdom of God has come near. Repent and believe the good news!”

The Kingdom of God. What does it mean?

Here’s a very simplified answer to make it as clear as possible.

Imagine that God Himself were the president of your country. How would He run the country? What kind of place would it be? What kind of experiences would the citizens have?

Again, imagine that God Himself were the CEO of your company? How would He run the company? What kind of experiences would the company staff have?

Simply put, the Kingdom Of God means that God is completely in control. It also refers to His preferred style of doing things. And it includes what happens whenever He is allowed to be completely in control.

Take note of that definition of the Kingdom of God. In a nutshell the Kingdom Of God.

  1. Means that God Himself is completely in control.
  2. Refers to His pattern, or preferred style of doing things.
  3. Includes what happens whenever He is allowed to be completely in control.

Meditate on the definition I’ve given you here today, because we will be doing a short series on The Kingdom Of God. And we will start tomorrow with a simple quiz.

I pray that through this short message series on the Kingdom of God, the Holy Spirit will reveal the mysteries of God’s Kingdom to you, in order that you may be better equipped to fulfill God’s purpose for your life. In Jesus name.
