A solution moves towards the problem He’s designed to solve
Mark 2:15-17 NIV
[15] While Jesus was having dinner at Levi’s house, many tax collectors and sinners were eating with him and his disciples, for there were many who followed him. [16] When the teachers of the law who were Pharisees saw him eating with the sinners and tax collectors, they asked his disciples: “Why does he eat with tax collectors and sinners?” [17] On hearing this, Jesus said to them, “It is not the healthy who need a doctor, but the sick. I have not come to call the righteous, but sinners.”
If you were a car mechanic thinking of setting up shop, where would you locate your shop? Where all the roads are great, and no cars are likely to break down? Or where the roads are terrible, and most cars are likely to break down?
If you were a medical doctor wanting to set up a practice, would you locate it where no one ever falls sick, or where most people fall sick most of the time?
You see, a car mechanic is attracted a broken car.
A doctor is drawn to a sick body.
A solution moves towards the problem it is designed to solve.
This means that a Helper will be drawn to one who needs help—that is, the weak
John 14:16-17 NIV
[16] And I will ask the Father, and he will give you another advocate to help you and be with you forever— [17] the Spirit of truth. The world cannot accept him, because it neither sees him nor knows him. But you know him, for he lives with you and will be in you.
The Holy Spirit is our Helper.
So, He is drawn to those that need His help.
The moment you reach the limit of your strength, you become a candidate for the help of the Spirit.
And if you can acknowledge that need, and ask for His help, you’ll be surprised.
When you genuinely realize that you can’t do it, and sincerely tell God so, You suddenly discover His supernatural grace within you, and see a way where there was no way.
Let this June be your month of God’s help.
In Jesus name.
