JONAH‬ ‭1:14‬ ‭NLT‬‬ | “…O LORD, YOU HAVE SENT THIS STORM UPON HIM FOR YOUR OWN GOOD REASONS.”

A raging storm was sent to Job’s life to purify his heart. Here is what Job said, “What I always feared has happened to me. What I dreaded has come true. I have no peace, no quietness. I have no rest; only trouble comes.” (Job‬ ‭3:25-26‬ ‭NLT‬‬) Job didn’t raise his children to fear God and feared loosing his wealth and riches that brought him respect because of their sins.

God touched it because a silent barrier now stood in the way of Job’s relationship with God. This is exemplified in the words of Jesus, who advised that we cut off any part of our body that causes us to sin so we can enter into eternal life. (Mark 9:43-47 NLT)

If a storm will purify your heart, then expect it because the Holy Spirit will continue Her work in you unabated. It’s a good storm. Bliss be with you.
