2 Corinthians 1:3 NIV
Praise be to the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Father of compassion and the God of all comfort,

He is the Father of compassion.
Not the Father of wickedness and heartlessness.

He is the God of all comfort.
Not the God of all anxieties and stress.

He is the God of our ease and rest.
Not the God of our burdens and punishment.

He is the One that spares us from troubles, delivers us from temptations, and makes our lives more comfortable and pleasurable.

Notice what happened in the story below.

Matthew 14:15-16 NIV
[15] As evening approached, the disciples came to him and said, “This is a remote place, and it’s already getting late. Send the crowds away, so they can go to the villages and buy themselves some food.” [16] Jesus replied, “They do not need to go away. You give them something to eat.”

He insisted that the people be spared the stress and the effort!

What compassion!

His love is so deep.
His care is so profound.
He doesn’t want you to suffer.
He loves to spare you the stress.

He is the God of your rest.
The God of your Comfort.
He is your Comforter.
The One Who makes your life very comfortable.
