Hello Blissful People, and welcome to Table Tuesday!
Yesterday, I started to share the things I’m learning so far from radically applying myself to the following words of Jesus Christ:
Matthew 6:34 KJV
[34] Take therefore no thought for the morrow: for the morrow shall take thought for the things of itself. Sufficient unto the day is the evil thereof.
It was scary at first. But I’m always drawn to the words of Jesus. I always feel challenged to take them literally and strive to make them my lifestyle.
In this case, I instinctively knew it would be extremely difficult. But I was determined.
Of course, I failed initially. Most people I spoke to about it just laughed. Others gave me a million and one reasons why it was a ridiculous idea. Some even said Jesus never meant that literally.
Who cares? My mind was made up. I was going to attempt climbing this Everest, and if I perished along the way, so be it.
The experience so far has been absolutely fantastic! Let’s just say I’m lovin’ it!
And I’m learning so much.
I’ve already shared the very first thing I learnt here.
The second thing I learnt is that tomorrow is far better at taking care of itself, than you or today could ever hope to.
“…for the morrow shall take thought for the things of itself…”
Jesus Himself said that, and I have experienced it: The power of the morrow to take thought for the things of itself is purely magical!
If through the help of the Holy Spirit, you conquer that pull to take thought for the morrow—to worry about tomorrow—something really fantastic happens. You wake up the next day to discover that tomorrow has handled its affairs beautifully; better than you could have managed it!
Yet, like I wrote yesterday, don’t ever fool yourself even for a second into thinking you can do this. No you can’t. No one can. Without the help of the Holy Spirit, it would be impossible to take no thought for the morrow.
However, if you take this word of Jesus Christ to heart, if you acknowledge that it is humanly impossible to practice it, and if you sincerely ask the Holy Spirit to help you practice it, He will certainly help you.
And, just like I’ve learnt and practically experienced, you will come to discover the power of the morrow to take thought for the things of itself.
Receive peace right now in Jesus Name!
