Sympathy or Solutions?

PROVERBS 26:13 MSG | “LOAFERS SAY, “IT’S DANGEROUS OUT THERE! TIGERS ARE PROWLING THE STREETS!” AND THEN PULL THE COVERS BACK OVER THEIR HEADS.”

Today’s message is inspired by one of Reverend’s teachings years ago and my recent personal experience.

Some of us only get love and attention when sick or low in a state of depression. When strong and in good health, we barely get noticed. So, it becomes easy to subconsciously get attached to that sickness and weak state because of the need to be loved, and the temporary understanding we get when unable to meet up with our responsibilities. It’s called sympathy-seeking addiction. On the other hand, you have a person who shuns unnecessary attention when sick or lowly in spirit and just prays to get well fast. This is a solution-oriented mindset. The former leads to delayed or no recovery. The latter leads to quick recovery and supernatural turnaround.

Receive divine strength from the Holy Spirit to always be solution-oriented in Jesus name!
