Stop Running From The Calling Of God

Some Christians run from the calling of God. Once they find out that God has called them to ministry, they start to dodge God and His calling. They run because they want to be friends with the world. They are still attracted to the things of this world.

Initially, I ran away from the calling of God, but for a different reason. I ran because I wanted to live my life in a certain way. I still wanted to be a Christian. I wanted to be a good Christian, and preach the Gospel, but I wasn’t inspired by most of the pastors I saw. They weren’t interesting, and I didn’t want be like them. I wanted to be the kind of Christian that was successful. So for a whole year, while God was calling me, I kept dodging, until I couldn’t dodge again.

Now, imagine for a moment what would have happened if I ran from God for five years. Because there’s a point it reaches, and it becomes too late.

The bible says:

“Remember your Creator in the days of your youth, before the days of trouble come and the years approach when you will say, ‘I find no pleasure in them.’”
~Ecclesiastes 12:1

If you invest your youth in anything else except God, know that God is waiting for you in your old age. Be warned!  A lot of people don’t yet realize what they’re doing. If only they knew what they are doing to themselves. If you use your youth to invest in yourself, and in the world, God is waiting for you at old age; unless you plan to commit suicide at your middle age.

“Do not be deceived: God cannot be mocked. A man reaps what he sows. The one who sows to please his sinful nature, from that nature will reap destruction; the one who sows to please the Spirit, from the Spirit will reap eternal life.”
~Galatians 6:7-8

Listen: God cannot be mocked. You can’t have your cake and eat it. Whatsoever a man sows, the same shall he reap. Stop running from the calling of God.

Memory Verse:
Galatians 6:7-8
“Do not be deceived: God cannot be mocked. A man reaps what he sows. The one who sows to please his sinful nature, from that nature will reap destruction; the one who sows to please the Spirit, from the Spirit will reap eternal life.”

Prayer:
Father, I thank You for Your Calling. Help me Lord to execute all Your plans and purposes for my life, in Jesus’ name.
Amen.
