JOHN 19:21-22 NIV | “THE CHIEF PRIESTS OF THE JEWS PROTESTED TO PILATE, “DO NOT WRITE ‘THE KING OF THE JEWS,’ BUT THAT THIS MAN CLAIMED TO BE KING OF THE JEWS.” PILATE ANSWERED, “WHAT I HAVE WRITTEN, I HAVE WRITTEN.””
Pilate was scared to proceed with the killing of Jesus when he heard the chanting crowd wanted Him crucified just because he claimed to be the Son of God. In other words, the people had an issue with Jesus’s identity.
It’s still the same today. Most people would rather have you tone down your spirituality and uniqueness to follow the crowd because it is more convenient for them and makes them feel less condemned.
But, you are God in essence and co-heir with Christ Jesus. So, never tone down your spirituality to accommodate the fickleness and fading beauty of the people in this world. Stand up for your essence and stick to being who you are: God. As you do, long after you’re gone from this time and space, you will be known and identified by the very essence of your being even against all odds like Jesus. Bliss be with you.
