Flesh gives birth to flesh, but the Spirit gives birth to spirit.
~ John 3:6
Whatever you get by faith in God, by trusting God, by waiting patiently for God, is born of the Spirit.
For instance, if I ask God for a cup of water, and in answer to my prayer He gives me a cup of water, then that water is spirit; and spirit is indestructible. It means that when you get this sort of blessings from God nobody can take them from you.
When your blessings come from God, even your mistakes become too weak to sabotage them. When your blessings come from God, their essence is spiritual; and you can’t destroy a spirit.
On the other hand, if your results were created by you, by your efforts, by your ingenuity, then the moment you slip up, the results will fade; because you need to constantly fuel it with your own ingenuity, with further skills, and with your own ability. Let’s say, for instance, that you got a certain result through a good personal relationship, laced with smiles and cajoling. What happens when you fall out of favour with the other fellow?
I believe you understand what I’m talking about: If you got a business contract, not because God gave you the contract, but because of your extremely good maneuvering skills, your link to the blessing is a human. Therefore, you’re going to have to maintain that relationship in order to retain the blessing. Thus, you’ve inadvertently become a servant of man just so you can keep up with the blessing.
However, if the blessing comes in spite of men, the only person you need to worry about is God!
I love that!
I really encourage you to spend more time with God. Cultivate an intimate and working relationship with God, and ensure that you get your successes and blessings from Him. That way, they are born of the Spirit, and hence, absolutely indestructible.
