JOHN 19:36-37 NIV | “THESE THINGS HAPPENED SO THAT THE SCRIPTURE WOULD BE FULFILLED: “NOT ONE OF HIS BONES WILL BE BROKEN,” AND, AS ANOTHER SCRIPTURE SAYS, “THEY WILL LOOK ON THE ONE THEY HAVE PIERCED.””
A life lived by the leading of the Holy Spirit and Word of God will always and consistently fulfill scriptures.
Jesus said, ‘I thirst’ on the Cross to fulfill scripture just before giving up His spirit. (John 19:28 KJV) Jesus said to Peter in the Garden of Gethsemane, ‘But how then shall the scriptures be fulfilled, that thus it must be?’ when Peter cut off the ear of the High Priest’s servant in defence of Jesus when he surrendered to the Cross. (Matthew 26:54 KJV) When Jesus arrived at the synagogue in Nazareth to deliver good news and bind the broken hearted, He said scripture was being fulfilled in their ears. (Luke 4:16-21 KJV)
Because He lived it, even in death and resurrection, He was the fulfilment of scriptures. May every second of your life flesh out God’s perfectly written script for you. Bliss be with you.
