Run To The Father

Proverbs 18:10| “The name of the LORD is a strong tower; the righteous run to it and are safe.

As a small child I remember running to my parents when I felt afraid. The moment I made it into their arms I felt safe as though nothing could harm me.

As I got older my family separated and my parents were both trying to deal with life with out the help of the Lord. Needless to say it was a mess. As a girl coming into adulthood I was often afraid of life and I felt I had no one to run to.

Unfortunately, I began to run to the things of the world to keep me safe. That ultimately turned out to be a tragedy. Then one day I finally ran in the right direction, straight into the arms of Jesus!

For the first time in a very long time I felt safe. He wrapped me in His mercy and filled my heart with His love. I’m so grateful for His faithfulness.

As I’m writing this tears are flowing down my face because the Father has shared His heart with me concerning you. He sees you afraid and in pain. I can literally feel your agony.

Today, I don’t know what challenge you are facing. I’m not sure why you are so afraid. But whatever it is, God is bigger. He will hold you tight in His arms and kiss away the pain and put fear on the run. So what are you waiting for, run to Him and you will be safe.
