Romans 5:17 NIV | “For if by the trespass of the one man, death reigned through that one man, how much more will those who receive God’s abundant provision of grace and of the gift of righteousness reign in life through the one man Jesus Christ.”
God wants you to reign in life, not endure it. Through Jesus’ priceless death on the Cross, dominion should be your reality.
God does not want you to go through life miserably. He has no pleasure watching you manage to get by. Life shouldn’t make you weary. Enjoy life, don’t endure it.
God desires that you dominate over the circumstances of your life. It gives Him great joy to see you walk in dominion over sickness, lack, loss, death, pain, trials and temptations.
God has never hidden the fact that your reign in life brings Him great delight. Your dominion is so important to God that He made sure to include it in His first commandment to mankind:
Genesis 1:28 KJV | “And God blessed them, and God said unto them, Be fruitful, and multiply, and replenish the earth, and subdue it: and have dominion over the fish of the sea, and over the fowl of the air, and over every living that moveth upon the earth.”
The Hebrew word for ‘subdue’ and ‘dominion’ are “kâbash” and “râdâh” respectively. Essentially, both mean ‘to subject’, ‘to keep under’, ‘to conquer’, ‘to tread down’, ‘to rule’, ‘to prevail against’, ‘to dominate’. I am sure you get the drift. God wants you to reign in life pure and simple.
In addition, while meditating on the above scripture, it suddenly dawned on me that dominion over life is natural with God. Let me explain. Just like abundance is natural; that is, abundance is God’s default for the earth. In the same way, dominion in life is God’s default for you. That’s His natural preference for you. God has chosen dominion over the circumstances of life as your reality. Reigning in life should be your normal.
Jeremiah 29:11 KJV | “For I know the thoughts that I think toward you, saith the Lord, thoughts of peace and not of evil, to give you an expected end.”
God’s thoughts toward you and His expected end for you is dominion. It doesn’t matter how high the mountain, how low the valley, how crooked the path, how heavy the rock, how impossible the situation, God will come through for you.
The Red Sea will divide! The walls of Jericho will fall! Goliath must fall! The eater must become something to eat! That cross will end in a crown! Victory is yours! You are unstoppable! Reign in life!
