The Holy Spirit said to me, ‘Come under my overshadowing.’

I wondered what it meant, how and the purpose. So, the Holy Spirit drew my attention to some scriptures.

ISAIAH 9:6-7 NLT | “FOR A CHILD IS BORN TO US, A SON IS GIVEN TO US. THE GOVERNMENT WILL REST ON HIS SHOULDERS. AND HE WILL BE CALLED: WONDERFUL COUNSELOR, MIGHTY GOD, EVERLASTING FATHER, PRINCE OF PEACE. HIS GOVERNMENT AND ITS PEACE WILL NEVER END. HE WILL RULE WITH FAIRNESS AND JUSTICE FROM THE THRONE OF HIS ANCESTOR DAVID FOR ALL ETERNITY. THE PASSIONATE COMMITMENT OF THE LORD OF HEAVEN’S ARMIES WILL MAKE THIS HAPPEN!”

This scripture was given about 700 years before the angel appeared to Mary to tell her she would bear God’s only begotten Son and call Him, Jesus. And, like I did, she wondered how it would all happen.

LUKE 1:34-35 NIV | ““HOW WILL THIS BE,” MARY ASKED THE ANGEL, “SINCE I AM A VIRGIN?” THE ANGEL ANSWERED, “THE HOLY SPIRIT WILL COME ON YOU, AND THE POWER OF THE MOST HIGH WILL OVERSHADOW YOU. SO THE HOLY ONE TO BE BORN WILL BE CALLED THE SON OF GOD.”

The prophecy released about 700 years ago did not come to pass until Mary was overshadowed by the Holy Spirit in real time. Prior to the overshadowing, nothing happened. But, after the overshadowing, the Word became flesh and a son was born. In other words, after the overshadowing, the invisible became visible. The intangible became tangible. The untouchable could now be touched and held. And, God’s manifestation became obvious. Mary being overshadowed by the Holy Spirit changed everything. It triggered new pleasant realities in her life. What a powerful, overwhelming force the Holy Spirit is.

Following this, the Holy Spirit said, ‘Any Blissful who comes under my overshadowing, will have my words and promises come to pass in their lives this very season.

I will turn sickness to divine health. I will turn lack and poverty to wealth and abundance. I will turn delays to breakthroughs. I will turn mourning to joy. I’m giving garments of praise to my chosen ones. The fulfilment of my promises to Blissfuls will be manifest for all to see, creating many moments of bliss.

So, let’s pray today: Precious Holy Spirit, overshadow me so God’s word and promises can come to pass in my life creating many moments of bliss.
