Praise Your Way To Victory!

ACTS‬ ‭16:25-26‬ ‭KJV | “AND AT MIDNIGHT PAUL AND SILAS PRAYED, AND SANG PRAISES UNTO GOD: AND THE PRISONERS HEARD THEM. AND SUDDENLY THERE WAS A GREAT EARTHQUAKE, SO THAT THE FOUNDATIONS OF THE PRISON WERE SHAKEN: AND IMMEDIATELY ALL THE DOORS WERE OPENED, AND EVERY ONE’S BANDS WERE LOOSED.”

I believe most of us have come across the story of Paul and Silas in the Bible. They prayed and sang in the prison after being locked up until the Holy Ghost came down and set them free.

Reading their story in depth, we see that Paul and Silas did not commit any crime and so, were undeserving of any punishment. On the contrary, they just saved a young slave woman from exploitation by her masters. That’s a positive deed in my opinion.

But, instead of being bitter at the unfair treatment meted out to them, they prayed and sang in the prison – where they had been unjustly held. God’s response? The Holy Ghost came down, set them free and they were vindicated. They were literally escorted out of the town like kings after being set free from prison.

What’s the point? Your reaction to problems in every area of your life – marriage, business, ministry, family, job, etc – matters. You rise or fall depending on how you react to matters or issues arising per day. Put in other words, how you react to the troubles for each day.

If you depend on the Holy Spirit and ask Him for help, while praising God in the process, you will sail through effortlessly and rise to the top. But, if not. The reverse is the case.

Your praise counts especially during challenging times. The preservation of your joy matters at all times. So, make up your mind to praise God in the face of any troubles you may encounter today. Decide that nothing will take you down or steal your joy. Stick to being happy and let no situation change your resolve. It’s a decision worth making.

And, as you do, deliverance will come. Help will come. Abundance will come. Supernatural provisions from strange and unexpected places will come. Vindication will come. Peace and happiness will come, flooding your heart and life.

The key to this victory is praising God at all times. So, let’s begin this day with thanksgiving, praise and appreciation of the Lord. Remember at least one thing God has done for you that makes you smile every time you remember it. If we focus on thanksgiving to God at the start of each day and maintain the attitude of praise throughout the day, we will finish the day in exceeding joy, happiness and victory.

I’m personally grateful to God for healing me from extreme sickness and blessing us with a Mission Centre in United Kingdom. God spectacularly answered my prayers. What’s yours?
