People matter!

We’ve been learning  awesome things and more from the book of John. We looked at the famous story of Jesus and the woman [Mary Magdalene] who was caught in adultery – John 8:1-11.

The story is loaded with a lot of lessons. Suffice to say that one of the most striking lessons is that there’s good in everyone! If this were not true, Jesus wouldn’t have died for everyone while we were still sinners.

A very important key to success is the value we place on other people’s lives.

Any company that places people’s satisfaction above profit will naturally rise above those who do otherwise. This is one of the key differences between small and big business. It is not just about the product but also the process of delivery of the product to customers.

The value you place on other people will determine how far you go in life. Mind your attitude towards people.

On God’s scale, people matter more than time, which then matters more than money. Imitate God! – Ephesians 5:1.

For you to rise, people must be more important to you than money. When you treat people well, they naturally pay you back well.

Success is the result of operating spiritual principles and this is one of the secrets of success-people matter!

While studying the bible, you must be on the look-out for eternal spiritual principles. Even non-Christians pore over the bible in search of the eternal principles of life.

It is part of the fallen human nature to easily condemn people. Anyone who overcomes this tendency is well on his way to greatness. Be wary of criticizing people; eventually your criticism comes back to you.

Many a time, people make mistakes out of good intentions. There’s no one without a fault. We are all gifted with one flaw or the other just as roses have thorns. Don’t throw away the baby with the bath water.  Those you criticize eventually and naturally rise above you. Life is littered with examples of this phenomenon.

Come to the point where you get too busy pursuing your destiny to notice other people’s flaws. Consider how Jesus handled Mary Magdalene’s case. She was caught in adultery and the law demanded that she be stoned. Jesus was able to save her life while setting her on the path of godly living. May we have this same attitude towards people.

When you treat people well, you make God happy because people matter.
