Isaiah 14:12 NKJV | “How you are fallen from heaven, O Lucifer, son of the morning! How you are cut down to the ground, You who weakened the nations!
See why Lucifer fell, from verses 13-15. “For you said to yourself, ‘I will ascend to heaven. I will set my throne above God’s stars. I will preside on the mountain of the gods far away in the north. I will climb to the highest heavens. I will be like the Most High.’ Instead, you will be brought down to the place of the dead, down to its lowest depths.”
Lucifer’s problem began with his l’s. He lost his place in the presence of God because of his preoccupation with self. Our will will always separate us from God. The Spirit is our habitat. Lucifer tries to isolate us from the Spirit. He lures us away from dependence on the Holy Spirit to dependence on self. The Spirit of lucifer clutches unto and exalts self. It is the Spirit that uses God to better lives, yet fail to surrender that life completely to Him.
His greatest weapon is logic. To match his onslaught and overcome him, we must transcend self and put God first, by always genuinely defaulting to pray, ‘Thy kingdom come; Thy will be done.’
