If the most important thing in your life is your fellowship with the Holy Spirit, if this is the only thing that is needed—as Jesus said—then this should be your number one consideration in choosing your closest companions.

In choosing your closest companions—spouse, confidants, advisers, friends, and so on—your relationship with the Holy Spirit should be the number one consideration.

Who you spend your most intimate moments with, who you confide in and receive advice from, should be individuals who also love the Holy Spirit; who seek to know Him better; who strive to be loyal to Him in all things.

Not earthly minded carnal individuals who will put stumbling blocks on your way; who will pose constant distractions; who will make it virtually impossible for you to fix your mind on things above.

The Holy Spirit woke me up early this morning to tell me that one reason most of you are struggling in your spiritual walk with Him is because of the kind of people in your intimate space. Most of them are worldly, God-mockers who have no interest whatsoever in the Holy Spirit.

This has to stop. It has to stop. It must stop!

2 Corinthians 6:17-18 NLT
[17] Therefore, come out from among unbelievers, and separate yourselves from them, says the LORD. Don’t touch their filthy things, and I will welcome you. [18] And I will be your Father, and you will be my sons and daughters, says the LORD Almighty. “

And after listening to the Lord, I prayed the following prayers:

May the Lord Himself arise in your life and separate you from agents of Satan who manifest in your life as family members, friends, colleagues, advisers, confidants and their likes. In Jesus name.

May He provide you with Holy Spirit loving companions in your place of work, in your intimate network of friends, and in your personal space. In Jesus name.
