You are more than a conqueror. That’s what Jesus came to show us. You are the tabernacle of the only wise God. You are a member of the body of Christ. You know when I think of myself as a member of the body of Christ I think of my hands. Imagine you want to cut off my hands, what will happen to you? When somebody wants to hurt you, how do you react? So if you’re a member of the body of Christ it means that someone stronger than you is committed to making sure that you’re safe. And that person is Jesus Christ.
This is what Jesus came to show us. So from today I want to encourage you to change your mirror. Change the reflector you’re using. You are from God. Your identity is revealed through His Word. Don’t use your physical success to define yourself. Don’t, because that is limiting. You will limit yourself because you’re more than that. You are more than a conqueror.
Don’t use your feelings. They don’t come close to describing your identity. To do so is to invite disaster and continuous failure.
After the other teaching God gave us about mirrors, I realized that we all have a role in the life of other people. Whenever we meet people let’s show them the right mirror. Don’t point people to their circumstances. Don’t point people to their earthly reflectors. Do you get what I’m talking about? People are already battered. A wise man once said, ‘For every one you meet, be kind because everyone you meet is fighting a hard battle.’ Folks are dealing with issues in their lives. So when we meet someone, let us show them the right reflectors.
