Mind Your Atmosphere!

John 18:18 | NIVIt was cold and the servants and officials stood around a fire they had made to keep warm. Peter also was standing with them, warming himself.”

Atmosphere matters. It is the surrounding influence, spirit or ambience around one. It determines what thrives. Your atmosphere constitutes your association. People. Places. What you see. What you hear. What you read. And so on.

Peter kept company with the enemies of Jesus. He surrounded himself with people who were set to kill Jesus. He mingled with folks who were not loyal to Jesus, and as a result, it was not very difficult for him to deny Jesus. This is because the company of the wicked defiles.

Psalm 106:35 | NLT “…..They mingled among the pagans and adopted their evil customs.”

Peace and prosperity thrive in an atmosphere of submission. Miracles thrive in an atmosphere of love and faith. Similarly, betrayal and denial thrive in an atmosphere of disloyalty.

Certain atmosphere disables your walk with the Holy Spirit and chokes your loyalty to Him; the key thing God’s looking out for in His Children.

So, mind your atmosphere! Blissfuls are among those who love the Lord and long for His appearing. Receive grace to be enveloped and transfigured by His word, and not be disfigured by the world. Let His presence and His word constitute your atmosphere, and never the cares of this life.

Stay away from such atmosphere and people who live only for this life. They are vain and chaffy, and unworthy of your friendship.

Psalm 26:4-5 | KJV “I have not sat with vain persons, neither will I go in with dissemblers (hypocrites).

Hallelujah!
