Masturbation has become such a terrible problem in our world today. The sin of lust which has crippled many young people eventually leads them to masturbation. Masturbation is lust in an advanced stage.

Some time ago I watched a man of God on TV say that masturbation is not a sin. That statement is from the pit of hell, and I believe that God has already delivered him from that sentence. I never imagined that he could say such a thing, until I watched him myself.

Masturbation is a vicious sin; and before you know what is happening, it leads you into pornography. This includes reading pornographic novels. I want you to know that reading pornographic novels is equivalent to watching pornographic movies. I remember praying for a young girl who had twenty-four of such books in her collection – twenty-four!

If you are in the habit of reading pornographic books in the guise of a novel, you are killing yourself. It’s paralysis. You can’t make progress; you can’t have ideas; the only thing in your mind will be lustful imaginations. You can’t have creative vision. How can you, when the only thing you see in front of you is a naked woman, or a naked man? How can you, when your ears are filled with tingles of sweet nonsense; all your faculties are consumed with lust? You can’t make progress.

Indulging in masturbation causes you to be grounded, and stuck in a spot. God can’t get through your mind; powerful visions, and dreams can’t get through your mind; inspirational ideas can’t get through your mind; you remain basically in a state of mental stupor.

After reading this, if you have pornographic novels in your collection, go and burn them in Jesus name. Also burn those movies.

Outrageous movies are being produced these days; they are everywhere on the internet. All kinds of crazy things are being produced that cause addiction in young people. You see a lot of them in the cyber cafés. I once went to a cyber café, and I noticed that a lot of young men – ninety percent of them – had videos of naked women in front of them. I said to myself, “This is madness; the world has come to an end.”

“Finally, brothers, whatever is true, whatever is noble, whatever is right, whatever is pure, whatever is lovely, whatever is admirable – if anything is excellent or praiseworthy – think about such things.”
~Philippians 4: 8

The kind of thoughts that you should dwell on have been prescribed for us in the bible – pure thoughts, noble thoughts, excellent thoughts, and praiseworthy thoughts. Not corrupted, dirty, filthy, and immoral thoughts. Your mind should be pure; it should be clean. Amen.

I’m not talking about wrong acts; my emphasis is on the sins of the soul. Don’t let lust cripple you in Jesus name. Keep your minds pure.

“Above all else, guard your heart, for it is the wellspring of life.”
~Proverbs 4 : 23

The bible tells us to guard our hearts with all diligence. Don’t let envious, jealous, bitter thoughts enter you. Don’t let lustful thoughts enter you. If you are a young person, I want to you to know that you can live free from lust and you should. Don’t let it into your mind. Keep your mind pure and you will always move fast. Keep your mind pure and you will think clearly.

Prayer:
Heavenly Father, please deliver me from lust and masturbation. Strengthen me by your Spirit to fill my mind with only excellent and praiseworthy thoughts, in Jesus’ name.
