Lust is a deadly sin of the soul. Unfortunately, it is rampant among young people. Many young men and women have been crippled by lust. In my ministry through the years, I’ve found out that few things can slow a man down as much as lust. Few things can cripple, and paralyze a woman as much as lust. When it enters your heart, progress ceases, because your entire mind is consumed with it.
There’s a distinction between sexual desire and lust. If inflamed by lust, your mind will dwell on thoughts of immorality. As a young man, all that will be in your mind will be how to hug a woman; how to kiss a woman; how to fondle a woman. When you start imagining these things, you are committing a sin of the soul. You are defiling your mind. These thoughts cripple and defile you.
“You have heard that it was said, ‘Do not commit adultery.’ But I tell you that anyone who looks at a woman lustfully has already committed adultery with her in his heart”
~ Matthew 5: 27-28
And I quickly add that any woman who looks at a man lustfully has already committed adultery with him in her heart.
Generally, women tend to have serious problems with lust, because they have fewer avenues for expressing it. Women are more hypocritical than men; they are more secretive. So they usually hide their desires, and then burn with lust
I usually tell young people, both in ministry and in business, to guard against lust. I say the same to you today. Don’t get emotionally entangled at the expense of your destiny.
Memory Verse:

Heavenly Father, forgive me of any lustful thought I have ever had, and make me immune to such thoughts, in Jesus’ name.
Amen.
